Ok so in my last blog post i said i was going to start playing Halo 2! Well i have started the campaign and i think im about half way through and so far its been great, just as good as the first Halo!:) I review Halo 2 once i finished the campaign!

Also the Call of Duty 4 Beta is coming to a close!:cry: But judging by the beta this game is going to be one of the years best games!!! I must have played the beta for something like 50 - 100 hours..........its really fun and very fast paced compared to Call of Duty 2 & 3. Now we have to wait to Nov 5 2007 for its release!!!

Now i love my Xbox 360 and i love Xbox Live but i dont love "LAG":evil:!!! When Xbox Live came out Microsoft was promoting a service that people all over the world could connect their Xbox's or now Xbox 360s and play lag free games! Well i live in Australia and i have one of the best internet connections available in Australia and if i go online and play people from Europe or the UK it starts to lag and 9 times out of 10 it got nothing to do with the connections!!! Its a distance issue cause i live so far away from these places! So most of the time i just play with other Aussies (Australians) but sometimes it can be hard finding other Aussies online on some games! So i have come up with a idea............i think Xbox live should be broken up into 2 services 1.) Being an international services like it is now and new one 2.) A continent services so people from your continent can only join equalling a lag free services cause everyone is close to you!!! Let me know what you think???;)

Also im currently watching The X Files season 1 & 2 so i be writing reviews up for them soon!!!

Combat_Goliath

So last gen i did not own a Xbox, so i never got to really play Halo 1 and Halo 2. And when i did get to play it, it was at a friends house so i never really got into it or thought much of it! I always told people Halo is not that great just another standard Fps with a interesting story!

Last year i traded my last gen console for a Xbox 360 and decided to pick up copies of Halo 1 and Halo 2 to see what all the fuss is about..........but i never played then intill now!!! As of 2 nights ago i have started the fight and today i finished the first chapter (Halo 1)! And Wow what a great game! Even thou its several years old and i have played games like Gears of Wars, Halo is still a blast!

My quick review of Halo 1!!!

Gameplay - Great! A nice mix of run and gun and vehicles missions! Also a good variety of weapons and foes especially towards the end! And nice big open environments! The only down side is you get a big sense of deja vu with the levels repeating then selves over and over again in some spots but its not that big a deal!

Story - One word "brilliant" Halo takes you one a rollercoaster ride from start to finish and leaves you wanting more!!!

Sound - Sound is good all round but the musical score is perfect bringing power and emotion to bring the story to life!

Graphics - You know when you play a game like Gears of War and then you go back and play a game like Golden Eye 64 which you use to think looked good but after playing gears, golden eye just looks like garbage now! Well i thought that might be the same with Halo 1 but i was wrong! For its day halo is a pretty good looking game even today! I mean its no gears but its not bad either!

Overall - Halo is unique experience that everyone should try at least once and should also have the honor of being one of the best games ever made!!!

Now im off to play Halo 2

Welcome All!

Im "Combat_Goliath" and im gonna start by writing a few words explain myself! Like i said im "Combat_Goliath" and if there is one thing i enjoy above everything else its games!!! Whether its computer games, console games, board games........if there is a game to be played im in! I also enjoy movies and television series like "Battlestar Galactica, Jericho, Stargate Atlantis, V For Vendetta, Serenity and many more". I use to skate (skateboarding that is) and body board when i was younger and i have been thinking of taking them both up again.......and maybe even a bit of surfing? See how i go !

Anyway as for games gose at the moment i only have a xbox 360 and a average computer and i would have more but i got to pay rent and bills...........and money dont grow on trees you know ! So most of my gaming at the moment is on the xbox 360 so i be writing up game reviews for that. I also have a old super nintendo so expect some game reviews for that as well, plus i probably do some pc reviews on games like "Homeworld and Half-Life" to start off with and move up to some of the newer titles later on once i get a bit more money! I do some reviews for movies and tv series like the ones mentioned above and will talk about other topics as well like skateboarding, world events or maybe something funny that happened to me during my day...........who knows? You just have to wait and keep in touch to find out!
