@Vonhawkmoon: I don't think they care about impressing you. I think they care a bit more about impressing the millions of potential customers who made GoT one of the most successful TV franchises in the last few decades. That's a guess though. Maybe they'll reach out to you soon and have you fill out a survey.

This is such a nonsense response. He's retroactively acting like there's some sort of bigger connotation to it, then at the same time saying 'wake the **** up' as if you should expect it to happen. Either it's intentionally "killing your heroes" or it's not. If it's intentional, then he should assume people would be surprised by it, otherwise, what's the point? If he made batman kill because he wanted to, and he thought it was cool, he should just say that instead of acting like there's a bigger picture he's trying to represent. This feels like some half-assed lazy, pretentious response that nobody needs.

I'm curious as to how a children's TV show adapted to the big screen in any way corresponds to the Gamespot brand. Marvel movies at least share a demographic with gamers, wtf does this have to do with anything?

@Acheron18: I loved the original and honestly, the remake might be my new favorite for the genre. imo, playing the original only helps to make you appreciate all the care put into the remake.

@jbreez00: I wouldn't give minesweeper any cons. It does what it aims to do, and does it well. Minesweeper is most definitely not a 10/10 game. Probably not even an 8/10 game. Even though it does what it aims to do, what it aims to do is not exciting enough to merit a higher score.

@tarnalia: That's a terrible reason to not buy a game. In fact, that might be worse than not buying the game because it's just plain bad. By boycotting the game for not including sexy women, aren't you doing the same exact thing as the people who would boycott the game because there's -only- sexy women?

I'm excited that we can play female characters and interact with them without the caveat of sexuality. We've had buff badass dudes (generally more on the side of meat heads than traditionally sexy dudes [with a few exceptions.. Dante], btw) as the main focus of games for so long, I don't know how you could possibly be upset that a game company is wanting to get away from that and appeal to more people. The truth is, if there were only ugly looking dudes, nobody would care. That's all there is to it.

@HarlemVIP: Woah. I didn't say you weren't entitled to dislike the movie. I'm also not saying you're wrong to have an opinion. Your first post didn't come off as rhetorical though, it came off as if you were suggesting your opinion is the correct opinion and it was very aggressively doing so. If that's not the case, then I'm sorry to have jumped to conclusions.

I do believe it's absurd to think a movie is bad because it differs from the source material (I'm not entirely sure this is what you're saying though), different, sure... maybe even disappointing if you had certain expectations. That doesn't make it a bad movie though, and again I understand that you're not necessarily saying that.

All I was trying to get at is that it's easier to enjoy the movies if you treat them as an original retelling, as opposed to a direct translation. The entitlement part was entirely because I think that attitude is a common one. There is the idea that because the movie differs from the comics, it's intrinsically bad. People say this about books that are turned into movies as well. I think that is an entitled viewpoint, because it implies that the director should meet your personal expectations, instead of creating their own piece of art. Again, I now realize this may not be what you're saying and I might have been lumping you into a category you shouldn't be in. Sorry if I offended you!

@HarlemVIP: I love people like you. Not because I agree with you, but because the idea that something almost universally liked is bad because it doesn't match your expectations is absurd and entitled. There've been a million different comic book storylines showcasing different takes on a familiar story/character. Why wouldn't the MCU have the same sort of creative freedom? To me, the infinity gauntlet comic was good because of the art, and the way it depicted certain intangible concepts therein. If a movie tried to recreate that same exactly story, I can't imagine it being good.

You can enjoy the comics, and enjoy the films separately. I don't care too much if you don't enjoy the films. I think you're doing yourself a disservice, and should try to relax and treat the movies as a new and unique take on something you're familiar with.

Infinity war was a fantastic action movie. Time travel has already been established and for anyone watching the movie that knows this, time travel is an obvious way to try to fight Thanos. Dr. Strange (or was it Tony?) even said that the time stone might be their best bet against Thanos. I mean I don't even think they'd treat it as a twist... it's just understood as an option. Hell, Dr. Strange did this exact thing to beat Dormamu. I mean, we already established that's a thing he can do, so wouldn't it be kinda lame if they just ignored that entirely? It's literally the most obvious thing to do.

your whole post makes you sound like an entitled fanboy; the only person that comes out behind in this fight is you.

@bikskit I wasn't trying to suggest that racism is the same as misogyny, more so that being overly offensive can dissuade people from enjoying the product. Point being, more people would be offended by racism in the game and therefor it would be more acceptable to lower the score given the circumstances. To me the main point of a review is to gauge how enjoyable the experience as a whole is; artistically and technically. I understand that in this given circumstance, it may have been overly exaggerated (given the nature of GTA) as I think much fewer people are offended by it than suggested by the review, but a game being too offensive certainly CAN be cause for a worse experience, and people seem to think that point is moot.
