This really sucks.. This means there is very little chance of getting a Reisdent Evil Tv series now. based on the games, which could be very exciting if done well. Now we won't get it because these damn worthless movies do so well...

Everybody complaining that they do not need 4k why even comment? You won't have to worry about it until 2020 or later until the next gen console after ps4 and xbox one anyways. I assume everybody complaining is a console gamer?

It is only meant for high end pc gamers at the moment and is to expansive to really justify now. Of course it is going to turn u off at this point of time. To see a good difference you will have to get a monster tv as well which will still be expansive even 7 years from now. The benefit is though if you sit close to a 4ktv the image quality should not degrade much at all like it does on a 1080p screen when up close.
