To counter they would have to release a game as big as Super Smash Bros. If MGS4 would have released this month it actually might have been even in sales.

I think it's really funny how Gamespot points out in the title how Nintendo specifically beat Sony......but X360 is just a footnote in the whole article.

No MGS game broke the one million sales, HSG and Dynasty Warriors did, and neither of those months was PS3 able to beat Wii.

yea excatly the wii outsold the 360 24-1 but the whole article is about sony. this biased b.s must come to an end :cry:

i dont think they were being biased, cause im sure as most people should already know on this forum that the 360 is on life support in japan, so the wii outselling is not really a story.

but the Wii outselling a sony brand 4-1 in japan (which was previously called sonyland for the last 2 generations) now thats newsworthy

It's amusing that they said the Wii outsold the PS3 4-1, because that means they outsold 360 by 5-1. The PS3 has beaten the 360 in sales in every country this past holiday (www.vgchartz.com) by a longshot, even in the U.S.

I've been surfing these forums just for entertainment purposes recently lol. But now I had to register just to reply to this cuz it's so ridiculous. MGS2 sold 9 million copies. And if you look at the wishlist on Gamespot for MGS4 its 30k, and the wishlist for GOW2 is only 8k people. Given GOW1 sold about 4 million copies, and if that much more people on gamespot want MGS4 you can bet your buns itll sell atleast 5 mil.

And you said earlier than no MGS game sold more than a million before and that's completely ridiculous. You dont know what you are talking about.
