The simplistic nature of the combat system may actually be somewhat of a selling point for me because I've never had much experience with RPGs and turnbased games, and this sounds like it's easy to pick up and play. Also, I'm really excited about the prospect of being the new kid in school and walking around the town taking in the sights and sounds I know from the show.
@Saul_Ed_Snake @CorkeyFord @Vegamyster It just seems some people here on gamespot are very quick to throw allegations at reviewers about being paid off. I don't think it's true either, but like you said, it seems odd that they would highlight something like that. They're almost inviting people to accuse them.
@Stevo_the_gamer @CorkeyFord Ah, okay then. I also used to like CoD back in the MW and MW2 days. And yes, they do things differently and that's probably for the best. We don't need two virtually identical military shooters.
@Stevo_the_gamer @CorkeyFord "More or less annually" is not exactly the same as "annually" though. But hey, let's leave at that. You like CoD, that's cool, I have no problem with that. I like Battlefield and I'm sure you have no problem with that either.
@Stevo_the_gamer @wongph @CorkeyFord @mjorh I thought we were talking about annual releases of "new games". As far as I can see 2003 also only had expansion packs released.
@Stevo_the_gamer @CorkeyFord @mjorh yes, expansions and special editions. If you want to count those, sure, you're probably right, but those are not exactly new games.
