Transformers: The Game for Xbox 360

I became a member of the Gamespot community solely for the purpose of reviewing this game and since I found out I'd have to pay to write official reviews, I decided go through the back door and review them in my blogs...as if anybody really cares enough to read them. Long story short, I've been a fan of Transformers since the G1 days in the 80's when the cartoons and toys first came out. I'm not your a-typical g-wunner who only likes the cartoon from the 80's, I also liked the Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and everything Transformers since the begining. Needless to say, I consider myself a big fan of the franchise. Now on to the game... IT SUCKS!!! Everything bad you've heard about it is true. The driving controls are sloppy, the missions are borderline pointless and in some cases, near impossible to the point of wanting to shoot myself because of how annoying it is to survive for 3 minutes while getting pounded on by a bunch of robot spiders and getting shot at by a half-frozen Megatron who'sshots can apparentlygo straight through wallsbecause you can't evenuse the AllSpark for cover when he fires at you. (anybody who's played that part knows what I'm talking about and knows how annoying that is!) Before that, I had toblow up5 seperatecooling fans located at the end of long, winding tunnelsand get out of there before I was consumed in the flames. Sounds simple enough, but the tunnel blows up causing debris to fall all around you, and in most cases right in front of you leaving you with two options: 1, shoot the debris or 2, try to dodge it. The second option is near impossible because of the sloppy handling I mentioned earlier and the fact that if you run into something, ANYTHING at all, you get knocked off course and have to correct itusing those sluggish driving controls which by the way are ANNOYING! Sorry, I can't stress that enough. The camera is equally as annoying as the steering. It shakes with every step you take as a robot, and seems to position iteself the least practical places during those next-to-impossible and pointless missions you have to complete using those sluggish driving controls! Bottom line: this game sucks! If you want a Transformers game, buy the one that Atari made for the PS2 a few years back. It was a Transformers: Armada game, but it was definitely better than this one. I can only hope Michael Bay didn't screw up the movie to the point where the entire franchise gets driven into the ground and dies like my inner child almost did after experiencing this God-awful game!
