Stop the posts. I can't believe people are still posting on here. There is little to no graphic difference. Take either system, plug it into a kick @## HDTV with 1080p, tune the TV to get the bright color and sharpness you desire. Enough said.
LOL... good one meateater79! Yeah.. maybe if shooters had some more distracting visuals you could get more kills. This would not be good for male gamers if taken too far though... Think about it... if female onscreen characters had lower cleavage and male players were desperate enough to stop and look.. they would prove easier prey for the female gamers. lol
Mr_arizona... I see our point. My motives for wanting one consule instead of three is driven by my lack of funds! lol I should never underestimate competition and how that effects the creation of some of our most cherished games, however.... The PC is a good example of a unified platform which sees some amazing titles and a fair share of exclusive games. PC game developers have created some amazing games which are to this day unsurpassed by anything possible on a consule. For example, upcoming games like StarCraft2 and Supreme Commander 2 will ensure PC dominance in the RTS category. I am just tired of hearing about how this consule is better than that consule... it's so lame to see them compared. Ultimately, it's a good thing that each company is able to control their platform and their games but each company also has it's flaws. It seems to me that neither Sony nor Microsoft fully gets it yet. Maybe things will really heat up in Gen3. Meanwhile, the only option for die-hard gamers is to buy multiple consules to be able to play all the great games out there.
The differences are minor graphically. Technologically, it's really hard to tell the difference between the consules themselves. I personally don't understand why there is a hardware war at all. Everyone knows that both Sony and Microsoft take a loss every time they sell a consule. They make their money on the games themselves. I think consumers like me would be better off if there was only one consule and no more exclusive software. How cool would it be to have ONE system that plays games like Halo 3 and God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Gears of War, Ratchet and Clank etc. Why not have one machine that plays ALL of the games and doesn't take up tons of space in our entertainment centers???!! Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo can come together and agree on a unified system and share the profit and loss on the hardware and then go on to make other deals with the software. Meanwhile, they can make all kinds of different controllers and accessories and put all games on XBOX Live. In the hardware software consule war, consumers are the only casuallty... or more accurately, our wallets. Why spend $250 for a 360, another $250 for a PS3 and another $200 for a WII?
