I agree with the other posters in that this game is going to have an uphill battle with all of the other huge releases coming out near the same time. Going by the studio's prior work, I am skeptical that it will be a sleeper hit. But I don't root against any game... unless it was like Michael Jackson Children's Theme Park Creator or something.
I've had one die on me with RROD. MS Customer Service was a breeze and realatively prompt. My replacement works OK but still has some quirky stuff happen now and again. The USB port on the back doesn't work, so I have to hook up the wireless adapter on the front. So yeah ... really? Who knows. I anticipate having to send it back to MS at some point. It's pretty ridiculous the amount of people that have had multiple 360's die on them. I guess they traded manufacturing speed for manufacturing quality. I mean, there was maybe only a month or less when they first came out when it was difficult to find a 360. Since then they've been everywhere all the time. It's a stark contrast to Nintendo with the Wii. Clearly they have prioritized quality over speed, in the Japanese maufacturing tradition. But it's still quite difficult to find and Wii, even the Wii Fit (for my gf, so stfu). I'm a fan of quality manufacturing but I have to think that replacement 360's notwithstanding, Xbox's strategy has been the better one, in a business sense. They 360 console has proliferated far better than the Wii here in the USA. Even with the HUGE HUGE HUGE (did I say huge?) cost of replacing all these systems, they are still probably well ahead.
Soul Blade (predecessor to Soul Calibur) had some serious fan service. Starts in the game's intro and continues into the gameplay. I'm sure I lost some matches against Sophitia and Taki from distraction alone.
