Have to agree. It doesn't matter how fast it is, for 4k and even some 1440p games, 4GB won't be enough. Data is stored in the vram for fast access because system RAM and SSDs are on the order of 100 to 1000 times slower, so if you have a game that needs more than that, you are still waiting on the PCs slower components

Some systems have AMD, some have nvidia.. and there's a war about it right here in this thread lol

Dude it says right on the list that 390x is enhanced Hawaii, which is what the 290x was. The new GPU architecture is Fiji, not on that list. Includes HBM and will be much more expensive. This is not really competitive pricing. The 390x is old hat before it even launches and considering such, you might even call that a rip off. It's probably not even fast enough to make use of 8GB in QHD+

PS2 went from 77% to PS3's 31%

Atari went from 2600-81% to 7800- 5%

Sega went from Genesis-40% to Saturn 6%

Atari's is the biggest market share loss. Sony is the only one who had respectable sales and market share after their drop.. Wii's will be similar to the genesis/saturn drop because wii only had ~38% to begin with, but Wii U will probably end up with less than 5%

With Guerilla/SantaMonica/Naughty Dog's second or third game.. The hardware was maxed out long ago but there are still API and engine optimizations that will allow them to squeeze a little bit more out for graphics.. performance is another story

Gonna get the inevitable PC version. Whoever is the publisher for this just wants the double dip money
