I understand where you're coming from lilhomes, I've been playing guitar for around 2 years now and its a blast just learning new stuff. Once you're atthe point where you can just pick a random song (without a restricted song list :P) and learn it, the satisfaction is uncomparable to Guitar Hero..

I don't mean to sound cocky or anything, and I stillenjoy playing Guitar Hero with my friends :)

Right now I have a choice of switching over to Vista...would now be a good time for this? Also, would I notice a drop in FPS in games like World in Conflict and Company of Heroes (both with dx10 rendering) and in Supreme Commander? System: 8800GTX, Intel E6600 Processor, 2 Gigs RAM. I'm mainly just curious about dx10 and what it looks like, but I dont really want to experience large performance hits along with it...

Thank you!

Whenever I play a video on this site the speed seems quickened and the voices are very fast and high-pitched. How would I go about fixing this problem? I already tried right clicking on the video and clicking "normal speed."

Thank you in advance..

I just connected DVI cables from my LCD monitor to my video card and Half-Life 2 wont open anymore...anyone know what I can do to fix this? It worked when I used VGA cables, but why would that cause a problem when all my other games work fine?

Ok, so I bought a computer recently with all the drivers installed already, but I thought the 8800GTX's drivers were out of date. so, I installed new ones from nvidia's website. However, when I reboot I get these messages and my framerate in games isn't as good as before -

"SM BUS software not found" and "PCI bridge software not found." Also it says that my device will not work properly...

I have Windows XP Professional but not the 64 bit version, and the PNY version GTX...so what should I do to fix this? Maybe I installed the wrong type of driver?

Thank you!

Hi, which is currently the best driver to use for an 8800GTX video card and Windows XP Professional?
