is the room hot ?waza000

The room isn't particularly hot but I'm pretty sure there are no extra fans inside the case. Might have to consider buying those.

So now with your help I guess we have cleared that it isn't the PSU since it's a good brand and it's designed to handle even maximum output. That means its either the cpu or the gpu.

My friend came over again and installed 2 programs called rivatuner and everest. First I made him put the gpu fan to 100% but it makes a different noise from what i hear when gaming. So it must be the cpu then but when it makes the noise the cpu heat is barely over 50celsius which my friend said it should handle no problem. Can it be badly configured/a bad fan or is my friend wrong (he's no expert either but i'm a total noob :))

Your help is much appreciated guys.

What kind of loud? The PSU won't just make noises, it's probably a fan someplace.theragu40

Like, really loud :) And the PSU does have a fan as far as I know and my friend said that it overheats because 400w cant handle the hardware.

Thanks for your help though I'll try to take the case apart.

Yeah whenever we play games, even older ones the pc gets really loud even though it's supposed to handle it no problem. I asked a friend who knows about things like this and he said its my power supply. Figured I'd ask you guys.

Hi can anyone recommend me a good rpg for the ps2 that doesn't get old fast? The thing is: I love the stories of jrpgs most of the time but the gameplay itself can be so long and tedious. I loved FFX but sometimes I just got so frustrated that I couldn't take 3 steps without doing another random battle and being the maximalist that I am, I had to max stats. It was a drag, but overall I loved it.

A friend told me that XII is way better so please don't recommend that cause I will surely try it and I don't want some mindless hackfest like Dark Alliance, I have a PC for that.I've played the Kingdom Hearts series so those are out of the way as well. So with that in mind please recommend me something.

Hi!

I'm planning to get a new PC and my friend told me this would be a good config. What are your suggestions? Are there any bottlenecks? Is NVidia better with Intel? etc... Please always think in the same price range since my budget is limited.

Leadtek WinFast PX8800 GT Extreme 512MB GDDR3
ASUS - M2N-SLI Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Socket AM2 BOX 3.00 GHz
Geil 2048MB 800MHz Ultra Dual /2x1024MB Kit/ (GX22GB6400UDC) (800MHz,CL 4-4-4-12)
FSP BlueStorm II. 400W
Samsung 320GB 7200RPM 16MB Spinpoint T166

Many say that 8800GT coolers are loud and the card overheats as well. Is this the case with Leadtek as well? If so what should I get within the same price range?
The x2 Intel CPU for the same price is only 2.3GHz.There must be a catch :)

One more thing. I don't plan to tune any parts so please keep that in mind. Thanks in advance for your advice :)
