Back to gaming... and blogging

Soo, I don't really expect anyone to read this since i vanished 1½ year ago without notice and the few people reading my blog back then must've forgotten me, oh well i've been very busy with school and all kinds of other stuff. But now i finally decided to go back to gaming again, and with summer holidays coming up. I believe it's a good time to start, unlike everyone else, I don't really like to travel that much so my summer will consist of gaming, drinking, hanging and working. And also up my webdesigning skills.

In addition to starting on the life of a gamer agian, i also decided to buy a new gaming system, since my old one, even though its still quite good, can't really run any new good games. Well it can run crysis but everytime i get near some water i get some huge laggspikes. So im currently working on picking the different parts I need for my new super awesome gaming system. And thanks to the low dollar the computer prices in Denmark are quite low for the time being, this is of cause a big plus for me since money always seems to be an issue when I decide to get a new computer.

Anyways I'm currently spending most of my time studying for my finals. So atm I don't really have the time to sit down do some serious gaming. But I do find time to play some Call Of Duty 4 with my friends (e.g Deugar_The_One here on Gamespot) and some other RL friends. Call of Duty really rocks, I know its abit late to make some kind of review of the game since its been out for some time now. But seriously IT REALLY ROCKS!!! I really like all about the game, and the new maps they included in the new patch. Well they're also awesome!

Also I think i finally got over my WoW addiction and I'm giving away my account to my nephew so that I can finally get out of that damn addiction ( read my previous post about WoW, It really is a new drug ) Anyways when I'm done with my finals ill buy myself a new PC and start some serious gaming and start making some blog posts agian, in the angry old man style which I've used before.

That was all! Happy GAMING guys and see you online.

Happy new year!

Happy new year everybody. Hope you had a good night and all that, I spent my night drinking with some friends and playing some tekken 5 on my ps2 along with my friends ( Deugar is one of my rl friends here on gamespot ). And what a year it has been, us gamers got a lot of new games. The titles I like the best is oblivion and Gothic 3. Even though Gothic 3 has so damn many bugs and **** ups. Lets hope that this year will bring alot of new and good games.

New Year Greetings from Crack11.

Retro gaming

After i started at this new instance of education there hasn't been left much time for gaming at all, so Ive taken up some old games that we play in school between the lessons, its fun to be honest, its kinda cool to go abit retro and play the old games such as GTA 2 and some other games like those. So ive gone abit retro player now. Its like studying gaming throughout history. Ill post some more about this later on, and now back to class.

Maxis gone totally crazy?

Does the creators of the game The Sims and the Sims 2 think we´re stupid? Now the sims 2 is going the same way as the original the sims. With to many damn expansion packs First university than nightlife and open for business but what now!? PETS! The sims 2 PETS! Wtf is going on? The first expansion packs was okey because it added something that never had been seen in the sims but now with the Sims 2 pets i think they prove they just want money and more money without doing anything. I haven´t bought the “Pets” expansion pack and i don´t intend to, theyve clearly using the old idea from the Sims unleashed. But why is it they have to make all these expansion pack if it wasn´t all about earning more money to their pockets? With the rate that these expansion packs get on the market i really think that Maxis knows that they want to make another one when they release one. So either they should make on big expansion pack and not make 10, maybe make em free. But than again coders and programmers aren't free of charge. But still i don't think that i am the only on that sees the lame in this strategy. I'm not against adding new stuff to games but i am against how fast they just spit these packs out on the market with YES! More than 125new things and a lot of new stuff to do. I think that Maxis and the other creators are either desperate to make games or plain greedy, since i have yet to hear a good explanation to the way they run things.

World Of Warcraft: The new drug or plague?

As many other people I was all jumpy when i first heard about Blizzards World of warcraft and my friends and I was looking forward to get this game and play it. I myself found the game a new as a new part of my gaming life and i started playing it all the time, playing nothing else but WoW. Life was only about getting up go to school and get over school as fast as humanly possible and than rush home and play WoW for the rest of the day, and I must admit it was quite funny to start with, levelling doing all the Quests, farming instances for better gear, killing horde and so on. But as time went by I reached level 60 and was ready to start venturing into the big instances like Molten core and so on. Out of the 3 irl friends of mine that had starting playing this game 2 was left and those 2 others was already doing the big instances so I couldn´t wait to go get some of the nice gear that you can get and finally enjoy the full potential of the game. But as time went by the game became more something I needed to do than something i wanted to do, you had to use almost every night on raiding and getting stressed because you where wiping all the time and the raid leader was yelling constantly, people getting really tired and pissed and all that. I started to realize that the game was taking over my life and i used more and more time on it, and to put a good example one of my irl mates that was still playing, he became totally addicted to the game and started to stay up til 2 and 3 in the morning when he had school and had to get up at 6am. His grades dropped quite fast, but I thought what the hell I have the willpower to not become as addicted as him, And I had the willpower, at that point I still enjoyed the game abit but as more time went by I didn't enjoy to go on raid most of the evenings just to keep up with the other hunters DKP so that i wouldn't be the last on the list. Than it happened. Summer came and a lot of the people in my guild went inactive and the good people started leaving because the guild was falling apart. I was at that time an officer in the guild and tried to stay as long as i saw the smallest hope of it getting up, but I lost hope and eventually I left the guild, and wandered around Ironforge for a few days thinking about what to do now. But the good thing was that I found out that i didn´t enjoy the game anymore as I used to do, so I went on the the wow website and cancelled the payments because, who wants to spent money on something they don´t enjoy? Now I´m back to being a normal gamer again. Playing all kinds of games and enjoying them. Because now I don´t have to plan when I can go into town and eat a pizza or grab a beer with some friends because I had raiding in WoW. And ain´t that what gaming is really about? Having fun when you want and play when you want and not play because you have to go raid Onyxia or molten core. That is how I see gaming as a part of life you enjoy and do when you want. World of warcraft is a cool game but play it on your own risk.
