I was thinking the same thing. When it was DOA 3 vs Tekken 4 and Virtua Fighter 4 I would have picked VF and Tekken over DOA and wouldn't have been able to choose between them for a winner. With DOA 4 I now consider it to be with Tekken and VF in the way that I don't think it's a lesser game anymore and I now can't pick between any of them. They all have their charms. Soul Calibur on the other hand used to be the only one I would ever say was my favorite but after SC3 it's in my bad book.
PS3 is the way to go for rpgs don't listen the 360 fanboys because just about the only rpgs that go on the 360 are also on the pc and they are just computer rpgs not jrpgs.  Sony will have the most jrpgs and another thing to go by with rpgs is that the console that Square releases the FF games on always has had the rpgs and in this case they are releasing games for the ps3. As for the wii it will be just like last gen and it will have the least rpgs. Sony will have the most jrpgs and thats that.odin2019
The 360 has 5 JRPG exclusives and they are all well on their way. Blue Dragon is already out in Japan and scored 37/40 from Famitsu. They are from developers such as Nacmo - Eternal Sonata, Tri-Ace - Infinate Undiscovery and Mistwalker - Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Cry On.

How can we do research on what you have simply called 5 MMORPGs coming from Sony without listing their names. Or something like Untitled MMORPG from Square. I don't imagine there is much known about them even if we could find them.

There's nothing similar about them, except perhaps the results of attempts to ape TN's style.
DOA wouldn't exist if it wasn't for VF, even Itagaki knows that.
That doesn't mean it can't supercede VF. If you read between the lines Itagaki mocks Namco and VF, as well as Tekken which he openly dubbed "prehistoric".
He hates Tekken with passion, but he respects VF.
I remember an interview where he was asked which games he thought were the 5 best and 5 worst. I like Tekken but it made my laugh. Worst 5 were Tekken 1, 2, 3,4 and 5 :lol:
