[QUOTE="Vadamee"][QUOTE="Brownesque"]That's disgusting. The ironic thing is it's the reason most oft-cited on this forum for buying the game. Especially by lemmings. "BUHBUH IT HAS REACH BETA!" XBOX 360 FAIL.Brownesque
ODST is still a better buy then every single first year PS3 game(Lair, HS, Uncharted, Motorstorm, Haze) because there's more content - The inclusion of this beta key makes it that much better. Its just like a cow to spin this as a negative.

Frankly, if they released two versions of the game, one for full price as is, and another version with only the singleplayer disc and Firefight mode, basically an expansion pack version for the people that already own Halo 3 or the map packs for HALF PRICE ($30), I wouldn't have any complaints about this game. It's level of content is just fine for a first-time purchaser, but.....um....why wouldn't they just buy Halo 3 instead? It's cheaper and has a longer campaign. Halo 3 gives you like 75-80% of the content in ODST plus a longer campaign mode and it's only $40 brand new and it's been out for 2 years. ODST is just a nonsensical release, it's not good for anyone. I don't like ODST because they put that much reiterative crap into it just to inflate the price again, and now they're not justifying it by means of content or quality, Microsoft is saying "lol, people will buy it because it has a beta for Halo."

For those of us smart enough not to pay for maps, especially not the prices they asked this is a rather nice deal. It's a fair trade. I've not been able to play halo 3 online in months because all the playlists that they force me to use to get a proper game without needing 15 friends online at once all playing halo have been locked out and I've been unable to play any real multiplayer because i refuse to pay £10 for 3 maps they punished me for that by holding my multiplayer that i already payed for hostage.

Now i get ODST campaign, horde mode, a beta and all the maps for £30 that's ten quid less than normal 360 games and 15 quid less than the thieving scheming bastards at activision want for COD.

IGN dinged it big time for lack or career mode I think, but it's getting mixed reviews. ARS Technica gave it a good write up.

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/reviews/2009/09/gran-turismo-psp-review-portable-racing-grows-up.ars

"To put it very simply: this is the best portable racing game you can buy at the moment. At times it feels almost like a magic trick; Polyphony has done some amazing things with the hardware. It's very real, however, and in a few weeks it will be here. Save some money in the ol' gaming budget, whether you buy a PSP Go or not, you'll want to pick this game up."

I personally think some eviewers are forgetting also this is a portable game. I can't think of another portable racing game that does what GranTurismo does, but can't really disagree with either review since I haven't personally played it yet.

EmperorSupreme

Yeah that's typical of the GT franchise it only scores well when its got a free ticket cause theres no other sims to compete against. Time for people to face facts there a lazy half arsed shoddy dev who don't hold a candle to other big name racing developers.
