R.o.d

My Xbox 360 have now gotten the ring of death, after 3 years. Nothing wrong till three years after i got it, weird and a big middle finger to me from god right now. It will take weeks for me to play on my beloved console again.

But anyway I am hyped about the name, Ring Of Death! it sound awesome and i wished that there where a game with that title.

This is a bored and sad sod signing off now.

Bye bye

Final Fantasy XIII diary: 2; Shampoo

I haven't played FF 13 for a long while now; I just can't find myself doing it right now. I am a couple hours in the game now. It's boring, why is it so slow? And I know what some of you are saying, "It gets good 20 hours in", well that is not in the games favor. Why can't it be good now? It is just repetitive fighting and cinematic, that sums the game. If you are going to have this much fighting then it should be quick fights right on the spot. Not taking out of the moment to a "arena", that feels like it is taking for ever before i can fight the enemy, to just fight 3 guys and that's it. FF 13 is pretty much the shampoo of games. The combat system is just lather, rinse, and repeat.

One reason why i haven't played this game for a while is because i have simply forgotten it. The graphics are so good, but graphics is a pretty hollow experience in a game. It gets outdated and does not impress you as much the 5th time you pop the game in.

The only reason why i would play now is because i wanna see the cinematic... This game should have been a movie instead...

Final Fantasy XIII diary: 1; First impression

Time in the game: 45 min

(Note that this is what i feel and if you got another opinion then i respect that and i wont argue with that)

This game is so beautiful in so many levels. When the game starts it is playing this beautiful melody on the piano in the menu screen. I am in love with this games music. The game starts as i take control over a hot and bad girl named Lightning and a cool brotha named Sazh. The game drags me in at the first moment with awesome cut scene with good action and the best graphics i have seen.

Then the first battle starts... its a boring button mash, all i have to do is to click on the "A" button and the game fights for me. I know this will get better in the future in the game but for now is is not impressive and quite bad. Sometimes this routine change when i have to heal myself though.

Then i can walk with the Lightning character and i get amazed with the scenery, wow. But soon i realise that all i do is holding the stick forward and looking at the scenery. So for now this game's gameplay contains of holding the stick forward and press the "A" button. Again not impressive and quite bad design.

After some time i get the chance to play as the character Snow, he is not that bad either i must say. he is stupid to think that he can defeat the enemy with his bare fists but he acts like a hero.

So what is my first impression? It is a truly beautiful game, and although the plot is confusing and hard to understand, i like it. This is because i hope that it will better later in the game. But maybe that's the problem, because as it is now i don't really like it, if the game is not fun from the beginning you risk to scare the player away.

Modern warfare...

I just saw an interview about the new medal of honour here on Gamespot and i where chocked too learn that medal of honour don't take place in world war II. For me thisfranchise have put itself in a pocket long ago and it is specialised. But the thing i reacted most on is that instead of world war II, it is taking place in modern Afghanistan.

Haven't we got enough modern warfare yet? This seems to become a big trend today, that no FPS game is good unless it iscinematic and set in the year of 20XX.

But never the less, i am very interested in playing the new Medal oh honour when it comes out.

Jurassic Park...

Is there any movie that have made an impact as the movie Jurassic park? nope don't think so... I can seriously say that Jurassic park is responsible for a big part of who i am today. Its is hard to explain but this movie fired my interest in dinosaurs and dinosaurs fired my interest to knowledge. I have my gratitude to this movie.
