[QUOTE="CuDDKiDD"]What are you talking about man? Pau tore it up during the beginning of the season. Hell i remember he was in the early MVP talks during the first two months or so. KBFloYd
actually, his troubles started in the preseason....right from the start i noticed a change in his personality....like he wasn't even trying or something..i had a moment of uh oh......once the season started yes he started playing good but then he would stop then start again....he was iffy for most of the season.
i was thinking maybe in the postseason he would go back to his old self....unfortunately he played even worse...if you can believe that. actually he played so bad he cost the team the dallas series and almost cost them the Hornets series.
Personality wise, there was nothing really off about him or the team during the beginning of the season. He burned himself out around December because of all the extra minutes he played due to Bynum's absence. He was up and down until the all star break. After the whole "Black Swan" thing he gained his All Star form again.
Something happend to the team during the last month just before the play offs started. Something that put a mental strain on Pau. More than anything Pau let whatever happen off court affect his production on court. The team stopped communicating and talking to each other during games, especially Kobe and Pau. They weren't high fiving or even acknowledgeing each other. Bynum was right when he said the team has trust issues. So was Lamar after the Maverics series when he said that we didn't have that bond.
Pau was dealing with an upper respiratory infectiong during the Hornets series so I'll cut him some slack for that. He found himself in game 5 and 6, but the next series, he regressed, badly. Whatever the hell it was off court really took a toll on him. Don't just pileeverythingon to the dood man. It was going to be hard as hell just to make it out of the West. Granted I didn't see them going down to Dallas, they had to lose sometime.
