i was really scared when i turned on my ps3 his mourning, it wasnt reading any of my blu ray disks, but was reading my dvds. so i was about to give up and send it to sony when i suddenly wanted to play everyday shooter. so i did that for like 10 min quit then whalla the resistance disk that was in my ps3 showed up on my xmb. Im really happy it fixed itself but i wonder what kind of error this was.nippon_gamer

hmm.. probably not permanatly fixed.. i remember back when i had the 80 gig one night it stopped reading discs.. then the next day it worked fine.. but like 2 weeks later it just stop reading permanatley.. so i took it back to the store.. and got a 40 gig.. (was on promotion that you get a free 40$ gift card).. then i heard about the MGS4 bundle.. and took back my 40 gig.. (made up a bogus story about it not reading discs..) now im just chilling back with my ps2 waiting for my fav. game to come out 8)

and to the guy that said he has to beat up his ps3 for it to work.. that reminds me of what i had to do with my old box ps2.. lol good ol days

the receipt says the receipt is valid until 4/4/08

i dont know if that warranty or not.. i will just call the store and see whats up

worst case scenario i will have to wait until sony sends the replacement..

yea i think i will return it and get a new one..

do you know if i bought it from a store could i still return it to the store and get a new one from the store i bought it or does it have to be through sony??

Hmm this one is odd

i just got home today and tried it out before i had to resort to calling sony

and it worked perfectly fine..

i did a motorstorm race then i completed a quarter of madden and it all worked

hopefully whatever happened last night dosent happen again, but i will still be nervous that it might happen again and then i would have to get it fixed and wait 2-3 weeks.. that would suck

i will keep my fingers crossed
