I have a problem with iPhone and iPod touch games. All those wonderful looking screen shots omit the one thing or things that get in the way of the whole igaming experience: your fingers and thumbs. It's like sitting in the cinema trying to see past a constant stream of people getting up to go for popcorn. Those fingers, intruding into the shot, would get you a warning sticker on your holiday snaps at Boots: "try to keep your fingers away from the lens for better results". It's not as if the screen feels that pleasant. Add to that the worry about finger marks - and please don't tell me no-one minds the finger-marks on their gadgets. In the PSP Go unboxing Luke was fretting about the finger marks within a minute of the thing coming out of its cellophane. Touching images just isn't normal. We don't go round art galleries feeling up the Picassos. No, I don't believe that touching the screen image adds to the experience. It only detracts. Leave me my buttons and analogue nubs - that's how games are meant to be played.
