I posted a message at the PS2 section in the Sega forums regarding Yakuza 2, then it sparked another possibility of maybe Shenmue III to be made in my mind. Here's my post word per word at the Sega forums:
< I just bought Yakuza 2 at ebgames yesterday and I got to thinking, what if Yakuza 2 doesn't sell well? Will the PS3 Yakuza games not come to the US or other territories because Yakuza 2 doesn't sell?
LETS NOT LET THIS HAPPEN!! I bought my copy and if you like these kind of games or the series itself, don't hesitate and wait months down the road! The other idea is if this game and the PS3 Yakuza games sell good then maybe just maybe Sega will make the ONE game I have been waiting for years; SHENMUE III! Shenmue campaign is doing great to get the word out so theres a possibility it would be made someday.
I really love the Yakuza series also and do us all a favor and show Sega that making a good game still matters and buy Yakuza 2. Hell, IGN just posted their review and it got a 8.5! Not bad eh?>
If you guys think this is great idea also, you guys have my permission to post my message at other forums to spread the word. I will be posting my exact message to other forums also.
I purchased my copy online a few days ago. I can't wait till this comes in the mail. This game took awile to come in the US but I think its better for it come later than never.
Oh, just a mom and pop shop!? geez... well, I have heard of stores such as gamestop or walmart doing a day before but I never had it happen personally. I hope this game is any good. Remember Rainbow Six lockdown? yeah lets hope it not another one of thoses...
The Zero suit didn't just happen on Brawl. Samus is in her Zero suit if you play Metroid Zero Mission for GBA. It was the remake of the original Metroid on NES!
