My HD4850 512mb crashes in the exact same way but only under a very specific set of conditions: only when playing Fallout 3. From everything I can tell it is the game causing it. Only when I play the original campaign does it do it, and sometimes after 1 min of play other times after 6 hours. But when I play any of the DLC packs it runs fine. Importanly all other games run fine (some of which are much more demanding that FO3) and without any crashes. Not sure if your case is similar but I've heard of certain games causing crashes with certain cards. Or does yours crash regardless of what you are doing?
Fallout 3 is also rigged: I regularly shoot people in the face with a .32 pistol at close range, upwards of eight times, and they shrug it off like it was a swarm of tsetse flies.
Are you paid for such endorsements? Seems many people on gaming sites these days are not actual "gamers", but are compensated...just wondering if that is the case. So, if anyone creates a thread about a game he likes, is it considered as endorsement ? if you see i don't really agree with his points, but that doesn't means that no one can like that without being paid  No. But it is important to think sometimes about who is paid to post and who is giving a genuine opinion. It is a fair question. i didn't say I agreed or disagreed with the points, but the whole tone of the post seemed like an commercial to me and reminded me that guerrilla marketing is real. I was just asking if they were paid or not for posting that. I don't think that is unfair to ask.[QUOTE="D0LEMITE"][QUOTE="haberman13"]
When someone strongly recommends something to me, I tend to not take their recommendation. I don't know why this is, but it happened with Mass Effect.
But now I'm playing it after all this time....
This game is freaking amazing, it is the culmination of every game i loved as a kid, and the culmination of storytelling and interaction.
If you haven't played this sci-fi rpg/action game from Bioware (my new fav. dev) you NEED to give it a try, its cheap on Steam.
Key points:
1. in-depth, mega sci-fi story
2. GREAT music
3. GREAT rpg power progression band (i feel tougher as I level)
4. EPIC space setting
More than just ME though, I am now extremely hyped for SWTOR, if they can pull a ME-ish game off in a multiplayer MMO setting... I just shat myself, literally, shat myself.

I agree with the person who started the topic: games do seem to get worse each year. It is undoubtedly complex as to why this has occured but I suspect that the younger game playing demographic (those with purchasing power, directly or indirectly) are not interested in an engaging game. Unfortunately it seems like most of the kids now cannot form a coherent sentence, or spell correctly, so I understand in some ways why this demographic can not be expected to want a challenging or thought-provoking game. Just give them some form of eye candy to hold their withering attention spans long enough to get mommy and daddy's money.
