The PS3 simply cannot lose. The Playstation line has far too much popularity. You can talk all you want about the price, how Blu-Ray will fail, how they copy everything, but it really doesn't matter. It all boils down to this:

• Sony PlayStation 2 sales: 103.69 Million as of March 31, 2006  Japan: 23.27, USA: 41.82, Europe: 38.60
• Nintendo GameCube sales: 20.85 Million as of March 31, 2006  Japan: 4.00, The Americas: 12.17, Other: 4.68
• Microsoft Xbox sales: 24 Million as of December 31, 2005
