4 years old and this issue still isn't fixed.

I still receive it practically every single time I submit a comment.. or try to. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and I just bail. Doesn't matter if it's a fresh reload of the page either.

Upvoting doesn't work most of the time either either.

Pain on the eyes coming here and seeing it white, then having to search the forum to find out what the heck happened.

I mean I barely visit Gamespot nowadays anyway (as of the design overhaul years ago which pretty much ruined the point of the site for me), but I still visit from gamefaqs news links to check out interesting articles, so I still care somewhat.

Pre-Edit: Oh and we can't post with adblock enabled, as I discovered after writing out my post and had to find ANOTHER thread talking about this. Now I care even less about the site..

Go to post on the dark/light theme thread, find out I can't post, find this thread.

Disable ublock, have tons of ads load that drastically slow down the page, and now have this comment form be a white box in the dark theme.

I guess they really, really want ad money. Damn shame.

I was about to comment on how I have to resize my avatar yet again; but it auto-resizes to 80x80.

Homg Avatar stealer! (Actually, because of how common that avatar was, which I've had for 7 years, I finally changed it).

OT: This may be my first post on the Gamespot forums (I'm a gamefaqs user), but really this is how bad the site is now; not just in looks, but in functionality too.

The same thing happened to Fileplanet and team overseeing it never listened; they lost a lot of subscribers. I was one of them.

Because Gamespot is partnered with Gamefaqs I'd assume they'd be using skins which you can change, but obviously that's not the case.

Please give us this option. Don't make the same mistake IGN did with FP.

Unless someone can show me a video that the new layout provides a better experience than the old; then I will not change my mind as I cannot fathom any way how this new layout is better, functionality wise, for what I used gamespot for.

Btw, bug with the new layout: I assume that box with my username in it is supposed to include my avatar in it. It doesn't. I now also need to allow 2 more sites in noscript, something I'm not too keen on doing since gamespot already had to have a lot of whitelisted sites to function properly in the first place.

16:9 is disgusting.

I've been looking for a 120Hz 1920x1200 H-IPS display for the last 2 months and there's still nothing. Do I continue to wait? Do I get a high end 60Hz panel to replace my aging LCD? Do I go 120hz and grab 2 16:9 displays and set em up in portrait mode? The age of my current LCD is killing me and I can't stand waiting, but I have to because the market is flooded with idiocy.

I run a Dell P1130 and HP f2304. The CRT for my old games, the LCD for everything else because CRTs have been destroying my eyes over the years.

As you can see, I run with some of the highest end stuff (for its time), and want to go higher, not lower, but the illiterate folks that make up the majority of the world dominate the market now. Funny, I always thought 16:10 was for monitors and 16:9 was for HDTVs. What happened?
