Another Day
by DAtkinson9 on Comments
Well things are going pretty well. The Wings start Round 2 on Thursday in Detroit and are playing the Sharks. ESPN "experts" have pegged the Sharks to win but we'll see when things all pan out. I think if Hasek is on his game the Red Wings can win the series against San Jose and win the Stanley Cup.
It's been a while but here goes

So here we are again. The NHL Post-season is close and all is going pretty well. The Red Wings are looking to be number 1 in the west and will hopefully do well in the playoffs. My foot is better but I will forever have a plate and some screws holding my foot together. Other than that life is pretty good, I have a wife who loves me and a dog who does the same. Until next time.
Hockey Season is Over.
by DAtkinson9 on Comments
Yep, hockey season is over as I am concerned. Red Wings give up 4 goals in the 3rd period to lose 3-4 and lose the series 4 games to 2. So, what will the team do next year? I guess I will have to wait until September for the pre-season to start. *sigh*
Stupid Oilers
by DAtkinson9 on Comments
Well, Oilers beat the Red Wings yesterday and now have the daunting task off winning game 6 in Edmonton and then, hopefully, come back to Detroit to play a game 7. I am on Long Term Disability now until at least the end of May and have to qualify for it each month, so we will see what happens.
Big Win

All right...Red Wings tie series up 2-2 and are coming back to Detroit on Saturday. Well, I am on my way to Physical Therapy and will be back on GS tomorrow. Red Wings have to win on Saturday. Go Wings!
Stuff and stuff

Red Wings lose in Double OT and are now down 1-2 in the series. Got to have a win in Edmonton on Thursday. Well, due to my injury, I can't go back to work so I am now on Long Term Disability until I get better or find something else. That's my exciting update for the day. Brain Age = 21!
Injury Update
by DAtkinson9 on Comments
If you have seen any older blogs, you know I shattered my ankle, broke my leg, and fractured bones in my foot in January and if you did not, well, now you know. In 2 weeks the doctor took me from 2 crutches, to 1, and now none! I can sorta walk now. So, hopefully, I will be going back to work soon, that will be seen. Another injury update for hockey fans --- Pavel Datsyuk for the Detroit Red Wings is going to miss Game 1 of the playoff series against the Oilers but should be good for game 2. I'm going away for the weekend and will be back on GS on Monday.
Oblivion and Pugs
by DAtkinson9 on Comments
I just got Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for XB360 and holy crap, this game is good. I have only played a few minutes of it but I am really impressed with the graphics and what the 360 can do. My dog is laying across my shoulders and snoring away. Pugs are great dogs. I think sleeping is what he does best, that or eating.
My favorite time of year
by DAtkinson9 on Comments
That's right...it's NHL playoff time. I am a huge hockey fan, I grew up in Detroit and love my Red Wings. Currently, the Red Wings have locked the President's Trophy for best record in the league and are going into the playoffs very strong. They have set NHL records for road games won and number of roads games won in a row. This might be Steve Yzerman's last year and if it is I hope he does it skating the Stanley Cup around Joe Louis Arena. Go Wings!!!!!
