I think it's going to be pretty hard to find a new DSL modem for under $50.00. NewEgg has one for $51.99, plus shipping and handling - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16825109001

If I remember correctly, EVGA has a limited lifetime lifetime warranty, so it may not be worth it to you to purchase an extended warranty. BFG also has a lifetime warranty too, I think. Double check this just to be sure, though.

Another thing you may want to consider is your computer's power supply unit (PSU). You didn't indicate it in your specs, but be sure to check the minimum PSU requirements for the vid. card you plan on getting and make sure your computer's PSU can match it.

I think it depends on your gaming platform. If you are going there looking for PC games (like me), then bad - at least my local game stop. I'll admit the staff is friendly, but they are only knowledgeable about console systems, and the shops tiny PC game selection is indicative of this, I guess.

As odd as it might sound, my local Best Buy has the best PC gaming selection, and at least two people (who actually work in computers, if I'm not mistaken) who actually game and know about PC games, from FPS's to City Builders.

One of the first things I do. Written reviews are great, but nothing like seeing a review with video of the game to find out if you will like it or not...
