The PS4 will be an awesome machine, as will the Xbone probably. People seem to be too fixated on System Wars chat/attitude and are forgetting about enjoying gaming in general. I, as a gamer, don't gain anything if the WiiU or the Xbone or the PS4 fail. If anything, we stand to lose more if any of those do fail. Have fun!
Wow, that was disheartening because of how true it was. It makes you think about how some developers have left, mainly members of Bioware indicating how they disliked certain aspects of the industry and how the whole thing behind ME3's ending was also handled.
It makes me sad and disappointed that those that also share my hobby have attitudes such as this, and it shows how very unappreciative and immature most people are. If you think about how Feedbackula became a show that took into consideration the community's comments and therefore including us in their routines, being them much MUCH more closer to the video game industry than we are, well, we pretty much stomped and shit upon that chance to let our voice be heard in the proper way.
Even as a PC gamer, this new wave of DRM-filled gaming doesn't help anyone who has an interest within the industry. Even as much as I would want MSFT to fail because of their whole stance with the Xbone, as consumers, we benefit the most if there is more competition among industry players than less participation in the console battle.
Do you really believe the PS4 would cost $399 if it only had the WiiU to compete against? Sames goes for how Sony upped their online service quality through better apps and the PS Plus program. Its very likely that wouldn't have happened if most gamers saw Xbox Live as a better quality product (which may or may not have been).
How can the president of a division of such a company as MSFT, that provides a product to the public, of all ages and income, and should be one of the best representing examples of company culture, blabbers out a comment so full of ignorance and a serious lack of integrity as "if you live in a submarine."
In such times full of violence and a lack of respect for one another, MSFT, a leading company in technology through one of its top employees thinks that if you don't have internet, well, you pretty much live in a submarine.
So, in the year of promoting next-gen consoles, Don Mattrick says "buy an Xbox 360 if you don't have internet connection." And the best comparison or example in his mind that he can come up with to describe folks without an internet connection is, "If you live in a submarine". That's some fucking nerve to say something like that. Seriously Don, **** you and Microsoft.
