DX 10 is a hook up of Windows, let´s say that for one instant DX10 is for XP... with all the monopoly that our dearest friend Bill has, he is going to allow that?...

I'm am XP user that hates Vista and the fact that the service pack is not going to be ready till 2009, but if I wanna play Crysis great I need Vista and I can't do a thing about it. I´m praying that Assassins Creed come with DX9

Crysis has already been confirmed to play on DX9 and XP there will be less eye candy and the day/night sequence will not be available but the game can be played.

The only Pc I have seen with 8GB of RAM was used as a server for games such as Battlefield, and that was so that it could have 4 instances of 64 player servers running off the one system.

I am not aware of any games that require 2GB of RAM, and unless you are using Vista, XP limits the amount of RAM it can use to about 2GB.

XP 32-bit will see 3.5GB of RAM where as 64-bit will see above this threshold.
