Yeah I never thought I would reach 40,000 gamer score before I left for vacation but apparently I have. Ever since I broke 20k I became hooked on unlocking achievements. To me they provide small challenges that are there simply for completion reasons. That doesn't mean I will go lengths just to unlock a few points but I am at least motivated to give them a go. Finishing Darksiders helped me reach this new milestone.
On another note I have been waiting for Red Dead Redemption for WAY TOO LONG! I know it comes out in two days but the wait is killing me (probably should be thinking about spring semester finals :P ). Only other game I have been this excited for was Final Fantasy XIII. I really hope RDR lives up to the hype unlike FFXIII. Don't get me wrong; I enjoyed FF13 very much. I went for the 1000/1000 but came to a sudden stop when I realized how much grinding I had to do to get my final achievement for it, Treasure Hunter (kinda hate Square Enix for giving us Fangs pic only once we unlock that particular achievement). I will get it someday... when I have no other game to play.
That's pretty much it. I've stopped buying games so often since I still have so many to finish (I believe there are about 20 games I still need to finish. Some of them I haven't even bothered to open). For that reason I will limit myself with future purchases (plus being in college and having to pay rent doesn't help my wallet either lol).
As it stands I will only be purchasing the following games for the rest of this year:
Red Dead Redemtion
Fable 3
Castlevania Lords of Shadow (if released this year)
Fallout: New Vegas
I know Super Mario Galax 2 and Metroid Other M are coming soon and Zelda may arrive for the holiday season but I don't think I will be purchasing them. I don't play the Wii anymore. These may just become rentals in the end.
Well thats pretty much it. :)
If you want to play RDR, SSFIV, MW2 or anything really add me on Xbox LIVE. GT is DJSAV101. See you online (make sure to let me know you are from GS or you will be ignored).
