I think you could argue that by keeping Smash Bros on Wii, it helps differentiate the DS from the Wii. If they port over an old Smash Bros...that'd be like Sony porting all their playstation stuff to PSP.
But yeh, it ensures that the two consoles can offer separate experiences, not just have one rehash the other.
Also, I don't think they'd want to release the 64 Smash because it would conflict with a possible Virtual Console release
Of course, they COULD make an entirely different Smash Bros, but I'm not sure how different one could make it.
Yeh it is, I've seen it at a few EBs around Brisbane.
I think the reason we got it earlier was because Australia got it the same time as Europe (or UK)
Don't fret too much, according to GoNintendo, the embargo should be lifted by Friday...well hopefully anyway.
Embargo wouldn't be too long anyway, otherwise what was the point of Gamer's Day?
It'd be good to have one of the few RPG stalwarts on the Wii.
I'm guessing Brawl is probably gonna have a November release. Big party game for the Xmas break etc.
Also, all the editors from IGN seem to think that SMG will probably get a 2008 release.
Btw, how long have Ubisoft been working on Brothers in Arms? Doesn't seem like they've had enough time for development, given the 6-8 months since the Wii's release.
In light of the recent Square Enix party, where they announced Star Ocean 4 and a possible Kingdom Hearts sequel. I was wondering about the chances of either of these appearing on a Nintendo platform.
Note: Star Ocean's listed under PS2 on Gamespot for some strange reason.
