Well the first parties shot their load in 2013 with TLOU, GOW:A, GT6, Puppeteer, etc. Can't expect them to be able to put out another big game 1 year later. But what it does tell us is that they supported PS3 til the end, so we can expect the same with PS4.

I didn't really like LBP2. Trine 2 and Rayman Legends are better IMO, but there's a lot of people that like LBP.

I've gone PS the last 4 gens. Never bought the handhelds though.

+1 You also need to sit real close to tell the difference unless you get a humongous TV. Look at the resolution chart someone posted above. At 10 feet viewing distance, you need an 80+" 4k TV to even begin to tell the difference from 1080p. Only time you'll be able to tell the difference is when you're walking by it.

I:SS was decent IMO, but not awesome. Didn't regret dropping $60 on it, but it certainly wasn't GOTY material IMO.

I personally would recommend I:SS over Sleeping Dogs. Even though I love kung fu movies, I just couldn't get into that game, although I know a lot of people really enjoyed it.

Thanks. I love the Souls games too and am really looking forward to it. However, I always try to avoid alpha/beta of games I'm interested in, because I don't want to spoil anything. To hear that you had a very good first impression from an alpha is very promising though.

Also exciting to hear you say it felt polished for an alpha. That tells me the game has a good chance of making the release date, when few games do these days.

IMO: AC4, TLOU, and Tomb Raider are the best AAA games available for it right now. As far as indies, my favorites were Trine 2 and Steamworld Dig. Thought Killzone was kind of meh... I think Destiny is a more enjoyable scifi shooter to stick with if you're looking for that type of game.

I have never noticed any noise coming from my PS4. Not that I'm trying to, but sitting 8 feet away there's no noticeable noise.
