Career Opportunities

I originally wrote something I felt was good but uh, my computer froze and I didn't save it so forgive me. I'm retyping everything but not exactly with as great of emotion as I originally intended.

Well anyways I've noticed that everywhere people are suffering financially. Alot of people who graduated college are looking for jobs, and to almost no avail. I consider myself lucky because I'm a sophomore (well I finished the year so I'm technically a junior), so I don't need to go out to the market anytime soon. I'm going for graduate school baby!

Well then there are others like my older brother who really are losing their mind over this financial crisis. He is a smart guy, way smarter then I am (That's not saying much). Anyway he is really great at computers and technology however he decided that it would be better to instead take the artistic approach and become a director and working for tv stations doing stuff like that. Well he ran out of luck and after he graduated spent nearly all the summer looking for a job. Then finally in January he got a job, well that job lasted 2 months, because afterwards he got canned and now he's pretty much home. He quit his part-time job btw, because he thought his full-time job would last. Now he's looking for another full time job.

Oh yeah my brother's degree is in English. It's kind of sad, because I feel his career is kind of cool but now he's pretty much down in the dumps talking about himself and how it affects him. He's a bit of an egomaniac but I guess his ego has been deflated with a sharp needle. Well either way he can go back to graduate school (he's only got his Bachelors) or hope his other job comes (he'll find out in 2 months).

None the less it's not just him, it's practically everyone. Lots of people are having troubles getting jobs. I know people who have kids working their tails off in college (studying) and having trouble finding jobs. There are a bunch of kids other there, who value nothing more then a college education and now look at them none of them have jobs? It's just horrible really.

I guess me and my girlfriend are in pretty good shape for the time being or so, but it's madness all around us and all around alot of people we know who are graduating. It's just so unfair, to all these people, who worked so hard to get into college to not have jobs. Kind of depressing really.
