Dragon Ball Z Kai, Cartoon Network's Loss is Nicktoons Gain

So I was noticing something interesting, Nicktoons success is Cartoon Network's failure. Why do I say this? It's because Dragon Ball Z Kai, an updated version of the original Dragon Ball Z (minus the filler, and in better quality) has been successful for their network. While Cartoon Network, the network that grew in the late 90's and last decade because of DBZ's popularity decided not to keep the show.

I honestly think it's a bad move as Cartoon Network is struggling, because they have tried to follow path with the more popular networks of Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. However let's be honest here Cartoon Network is losing popularity among it's devoted viewers because they are moving away from the programming that made them great, Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Dragon Ball Z and going toward useless stuff like Destroy Build Destroy (Honestly who wants to watch three nerds build stuff?).

CN made a big mistake not taking Dragon Ball Z Kai, When DBZ came out in 1996 it was a struggling series (I mean I used to watch it on weekend afternoons on Fox) it wasn't on with the rest of the cartoons but at a different time. Then it got canceled all of a sudden and found new life on Cartoon Network.

At CN the show grew in popularity and by 2000 the show was a cable ratings hit, I mean if you look at the data people were watching Dragon Ball Z perhaps more then most shows on Cable other then Sports, and in fact in one week in 2002 it was the number one program in all of cable (I believe it was September). Cartoon Network saved itself with Dragon Ball Z, and brought the network respectability yet what do they do? Shuffle it away (Like they did with Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho and more recently Naruto).

Well Nicktoons is a start up network but DBZ Kai is giving them ratings gold, looks like CN made another bad decision.
