@johnnyauau To your handheld games concern, that is a question only you can answer. Certain things resonate differently from person to person, it is all about what kind of value you place on something.
For example, I would not get a lot of value in purchasing a CoD game with a season pass because I do not care for competitive multiplayer and the story is mostly garbage anyway. However, when I bought Persona 4 Golden, I sunk 70 hours just to get to the end of the game and not once did I feel the game's length. In that instance I got much more out of it than what I usually pay for a game.
So the question you should really ask youself is, are there games on this platform that I want, and are there enough on it now and coming out to justify this purchase? And just to let you know, I've had many portable consoles over the years and most of that time spent gaming was within my own house. Not on a train/plane/bus/roadtrip etc.
@B-boy But the question is then, would they remake this game in the same vein as REmake? That is, updated graphics, better voice acting, a few new areas and combat additions while keeping the tank controls. I don't see that happening, probably look like the new games, over the shoulder and leaing far too much toward action that survival horror.
@Super_Tramp Like with this game though, I can imagine Square screwing up the remake to my favorite game. Like including voice acting (which may not be bad, but they will make Cloud that whiny sissy instead of the cocky badass he is), getting rid of the world map, changing the battle system, etc etc. So, I would almost rather them (and Capcom) not remake classic games if they were going to screw with the formula.
Maybe not, but I just feel there is a lot that can go wrong. RE2 was claustrophobic, intense, and scary. Recent RE has been shifting away from that into a much more action oriented game that has zombies and BOWs.
Am I the only one who would be deathly afraid of this happening? Because I don't see them making a graphical overhaul to the game, I see them putting in the control scheme and everything from the more recent titles, which isn't something I want to see in classic RE.
