Im sorry but in my opinion, there is probably no better game series, ever, better suited for utilizing the Wiimote than Castlevania, period.
It would be really nice to see Konami actually throw some of their best guys at this and see what they come up with. Besides, the whip can be used in such a plethora of ways, it doesnt have to just be used for whipping enemies, for example, it could be used Indy style for swinging across stuff, but more importantly, the combat style, like ripping a weapon from an enemy, or taking their legs out from under them, etc. Indy never got to do chains, morning star, or flaming whip upgrades either.
Would anyone object to some other creative uses for the whip, like say having a magnetic morning star (inflict extra damage on bad guys or disarm them if they have a metal weapon / shield / armor), or a bladed whip used to cut down some big tree (and inflict even more extra damage on bad guys), or like a spring loaded whip to launch yourself extra distance on swings, or again using to disarm opponents, for some Zelda / Metroid like puzzle solving? Use the whip more as a tool and not just as a weapon that swings the same way every single time...
Side note, I kind of think the Silent Hill teams should really take a look at how Zelda / Metroid solve puzzles, being Konami and all. I mean really, who hides the keys for their regrigerator in their toilet 3 blocks away in a monster infested town?
