Yes Halo 1 got 9.7, but im not sure why, its just another FPS to me. When i saw Gears of war i was like, hmm i guess it looks okay, played it and i couldnt stop playing lol. The story wasn't 100%, So? The game was still loads of fun, the story isn't going to change that. After finishing it first time, you can repeat the game on insane, Which is loads of fun having to blind fire 60% of the time. The chainsaw being pointless unless they run at you. Then beating the brains out of General RAAM (after trying 1million times if you dont know the block trick.) Yes Everyone is saying Halo is better, but its been out for ages. Gears of war has been out for about 2 years aposed to 6ish. So by the 3rd Gears of war i think it will pass Halo Series or even more, just take a look at the % of votes on Gears. 32% for a first game, 2nd game could add up another 20% if its as good and eventually passing Halo.

Halo fan's, All great games come to an end, Halo has ended, try to get into other things after getting bored with Halo Multiplayer, Gears is a shooter? why dont you stop being so bias and look at the good's of it, and if you dont like it, try other FPS games e.g. Call Of Duty. I like Halo 3 but, no affence, its to overrated.

Halo being out around for a while is an example on how good it is since people are not getting tired of the gameplay, something Gears will have to try and get by.

The Halo series is not over only the story arc. Also in my opinion Gears of War is WAY over rated. I play Call of Duty and like it but Halo is Halo and is well known for a reason. Hype would not have sold Halo 3 if people didnt like the 2nd game or the 1st.

I would say Halo 3 on multiplayer, So many people like gears better, says diffrent in most of the boards.

I am not sure if this is already been done, but whats your pick, everyones saying Halo 3 is better when the Gamespot score was 9.5 and User score was 9.0 while Gears of war was 9.6 and 9.4, So take your pick, I say Gears, but Halo a very very close second.

Well iv'e been getting "disc unreadable" errors lately so now my 360 stopped reading my GeOW disc altogether, it will read R6 and NCAA but it takes longer than usual. I was wondering if there is a way to fix this, or is it pretty much letting me know its gonna die?The_Fear05
