My xbox got the RROD so I got it repaired and decided to get a fan to help keep it cool. I got the intec cooling stand.

However ever since I got it, it seems that my discs get very hot very quickly. It also seems that more hot air is coming out of the back. Ive got the xbox on the fan and the fan is running, but it doesnt look like it does anything. So I have a few questions

1) Is there a specific way to put the xbox on the fan?
2) Is it normal for the discs to get hot?
3) Was my xbox not really fixed when I got the RROD?

My Xbox has been having many problems the past few weeks. First it wouldn't read certain discs. I went to PNT, got it repaired. Then, only a few days later, I got the RROD. I called up my local store, and they told me to bring it in. They told me it was the fan I had been using that caused it to over heat or whatever. (NYKO intercooler. Don't buy it) They aslo said they had it on all day, with no problems whatsoever. I get it back, and I get the RROD again.

I was trying to figure out what happened, when suddenly I found out what is probably wrong. I had a power surge while I was playing only 2 days before the first RROD. I was thinking, it could be the power cord. The reason, is when they played with my xbox for however long, they did not have my power cord.

Basically my question is, is it possible to have that happen to my power cord? Would that cause the problems? Where can I get a new power cord and how much would it cost? Thanks.

This is mainly for people who have downloaded DLC for the godfather on the 360. but "legal" help for lack of a better word is greatly appreciated.

i was looking at marketplace and saw the don collection for sale. i read through and it said you receive all 5 level 4 weapons and in game money and other stuff. the weapons is what caught my attention. (im just renting from gamefly so i figured id just go for it).

i download it, and im stoked. the hard part now is driving to the place and taking over the stores. i get to the dealer, press Y and what does it say: $500,000 for the level 4 tommy gun. so already im upset. you dont get the weapons to get the ability to purchase them. like i said, im pissed already.

so i figure ill just get the individual 250k download and i can get the gun with some left overs. i wondered if it would let me because i got the don pack already, but it showed it was for sale and i could get it and that i hadnt already downloaded it. so i download it, get back to the game and what did i find. you guessed it. i had the same balance as before because id gotten the DLC in the don pack. but they didnt say i wouldnt be able to. so now im down 12.50 without getting anything out of it. its money i was going to spend on GTA4 but this was to good to pass up.

my main point, who do i call to complain and maybe get my $$ back? microsoft or EA. (company who made godfather)

a cop game. no crazy superpowers, no mystic beings, just a cop game.

free-roaming game. new york city. heres the story:

you're a normal cop, normal life. you go on a routine drug bust on an anonymous tip. theres a firefight. you kill the head honcho's son of a drug cartel youve been trying to track down unknowingly. then, the father avenges his sons death by killing your family. the rest of the game is a revenge story, trying to track down the father and take revenge, taking down the entire cartel in the process. in the end, your partner turns out to be bad and helped coordinate the attack on your family.

you can use your cop resources (finger prints, background checks, etc) to find out who the father is, whom you do not know the identity of yet.

for side missions, you can stop the petty crimes. (purse snatchings, muggings, a kidnapping mission here and there.) you could call for backup and all that, use patrol cars all in 3rd person perspective.

if done right, it could be awesome. it may just be because id like to be a cop, but whatever. itd be fun.

TBS isnt showing many braves games anymore, and I live south of Tampa Florida so i dont get any of the local channels.

how much is MLB extra innings for comcast? is it worth it for only one team?

...but when i got it back i noticed that the xbox was freezing much more than it was before. After a while i noticed two of my games wouldnt even play. i looked at the discs and there were at least 50 scratches per disc. i realized the xbox was scratching my discs after i got it back from the repair. i put it vertical (before it was horizontal) and thought it might help the scratching. it did for a bit then i noticed all my games (new ones for christmas) have scratches on the very inside of the disc where it says xbox 360.

im contacting xbox now. im just wondering if anybody else has had this problem.
