But the box said 300W was enough?!
Do you know if I can connect an external power supply to the card to make it work in my present CPU?
I recently bought a new 3D Inno GeForce 7600 GT card to my 3 year old Dell Dimension 8400 with an Intel Pentium 4 3,0 GHz processor, 1,5 GB and 350 W power supply. I installed the card, but when I tried to boot up, my CPU shut off, and I was unable to start it again with my new 3D card installed. When I replaced it with my old Radeon X300/X550 Card the computer functioned as usual again.
Do you know what the problem is? My power supply of 350W should be enough to run the card, since the box says it has a minimum requirement of 300W. Do I still need a bigger power supply to the card or may the 3D card be broken? Do you know if I can install an external power booster (like the Foxtron Source BoosterX3 with an additional 300W PSU and 6-pin outputs?) to an GeForce 7600 GT?
Please help...
