Can I buy FF7 in the PS online store?

I know the 80G PS3's can play most of the PS2 games, but I'm curious about PS1 games.

I'm asking because I haven't played FF7 yet and I know a couple of games I want to play as well =/

I hear that the PS3 freezes and glitches when you play Assassins Creed?

If that's true, does that happen with other games as well?

If I'm about to spend $500-600 I don't want any bugs on mine =/

I'm sort of in between a PS3 and an XBOX360.

The main reason I want a PS3 is for God of War 3.

And I want to play GoW1 and GoW2.

But other than the GoW series, what other games will be worth buying if I get the PS3?
