...Can't avoid that. It's... getting on my nerves. SAVE YOURSELF! IT'S TOO LATE FOR ME!
Ahem. Anyway, I'm finishing up Mass Effect... third day playing it. Can't there be a really good RPG that DOES last a few weeks like FF VII used to?
I also found some old PC games at a garage sale. So I bought Sim City 3000 for $1 and the same for Unreal Tournament 2003 for the same. This means I've finally completed my UNREAL collection.
Mass Effect has a lot of good choices in it. Saving party members, killing or not, saving hostages or killing the terrorists. And there's a romance sub-plot in there too. If you simply talk to the women in your squad over time they start cat-fights over you. That's a more... controversial part of Mass Effect, but it's no big deal. And in case you're wondering, I chose Ashe (the human girl) ;)
I do love that while it absolutely maintains its shooter gameplay, it still looks and plays just like an RPG of old. The environments and cities and little sub-missions that have you run around town all remind me of Final Fantasy VII, or XII for that matter. But then when it comes to combat you whip out an SMG and take down some alien... robot... cyborg... AI... renegades. If you like RPGs or shooters you'd like Mass Effect. It's a simple over-the-shoulder with all the RPG elements- EXP, levels, skills, equipment... it's all there.
Well it's 1:11AM over here on the West (A.K.A. BEST) Coast and this whole WHY SO SERIOUS fad is getting to my head :P Goodnight, Gotham city.
