Been buying up cheap games left and right lately. I’m glad the by product of a progressive economy involves the decrease of older video game software.
Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies was a nice distraction for $7.99. The gameplay isn’t too demanding, and the game doesn’t try to be anything other then a solid arcade flight combat sim. The story behind the game has an odd amount of depth and charm for this genre, and I enjoy it very thoroughly. I’ll probably start picking up the follow ups in the series as their prices start dropping below $15.
Guilty Gear X2 #Reloaded is my second foray into the fighting games genre. My first being Dead or Alive 4. GGX2 Reloaded is just as fast and furious as the DOA games I’ve come to love, except that it’s all confined to only 2 dimensions and the fighters jump higher. The characters themselves are probably the most interesting cast I’ve seen in this game type. Any game that lets you fight as a man possessed by a host of apparitions or a sexy rock chick whose melee weapon is a guitar needs to be played at least on some level.
Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict and Hulk: Ultimate Destruction are on their way through the mail and together they only cost me $20…..Ecstactic!!!
