The first PES I had, well ISS at the time was a typical play against friends game as was ISS 2. Fifa I have had every year since Road to World Cup 98 which I loved purely becasue of the indoor mode however couldn't understand why michael Owen had a beard. Anyway PES 1 all the way to PES 6 was consistantly brilliant in my opinion and even more so the fact that it wasn't licensed and player names were incorrect in some teams, but this obviously has no impact on gameplay. Fifa however in my opinion just seemed to pride itself on licenses when the gameplay in fifa 99 all the way to 2007 failed to impress. Out of them all to this point Fifa 2003 wasn't to bad. PES however just delivered in this time each year, gameplay improved, so much fun to play with friends..an all round solid fun game also the master league was a very good long term mode up until PES 08 where they seemed to run out of ideas. Yes master league ws still long term but it was the same and yes create and edit mode is stronger than many other games but still the same and as for the gameplay well it's just slow. It just doesn't flow anymore....I also played the PES 10 demo and i cannot stand the lobbed through ball, just makes the game seem silly from that one move. It proves the AI is awful and how slow in speed the game is. If you look at the clock in the right hand courner the ball is in the air for like 30 seconds. Fifa on the other hand in 2008 and 2009 has balanced fun and realism so perfectly. It feels smooth and flows very well and as for game modes well Be aPro mode is excellent and i'm sure will improve once again and my fave is the Ultimate Team. I really think that put Fifa in a league of it's own. Adidas Live season also is a brilliant feature....and that is the thing, PES was so far ahead 10 years ago but havn;t really made any risks or changes as for Fifa who needed to up their game have done and i know it's been a while but to be honest i cannot see it falling behind again.

I'm not going into online comparisons because even if ur Mr.PES themselves.....u have to admit that you do suck!
