He's dead...

About an hour and a half ago, I was watching The Wedding Singer, eating a tank of goldfish, and playing Pokemon: Fire Red on my GameBoy, like I do everyday. Then the phone rang, and strangely enough it was for me. No one ever calls for me. It was Andrea, so I assumed she wanted me to come over and play. She didn't. Our classmate, 14-year-old Jordan Essex died earlier today. I didn't believe her at first, Jordan was strong, he could pull through anything. WHhn she assured me she wsasn't joking around, I hung up and burst into tears. My mom came and held me, and then I went up to my room. I cried for a little while longer, then I pulled out all my yearbooks. He looked exactly the same in every picture. Then I looked at the inside of the cover, to see if he signed any of them. I laughed at th 5th grade year book because he had spelled his name wrong. But then I began to cry again when I saw that he had written, "ARMY" under his name. Jordan came from a military family, and spent most of his life going after his dream and joining boot camps and such. After I found out he was dead, all the memories I had came flooding back. I remember once when I was at Andrea's house, we were looking through yearbooks and she had a heart drawn around his picture. Of course, that was long ago, and Andrea's never had a crush on anyone else. I also remember he was in my Arts Rotation class this past year, and the argument we had in FACS. We were supposed to be sewing pillow cases on sewing machines, but the two of us were having a heated conversation over who is the best: Quincys or Soul Reapers. In Art, Miss Desimine was always yelling at him for something he didn't do. I bet she feels like crap now. While I was sitting in my room, I couldn't look at my Naruto or Bleach stuff, since Jordan was such a big fan of both. Unfotunatley, my whole room is mostly comprived of that, so I just pulled a blanket over my head. Then I thought, "What right did I have to be sad?" Jordan was leaving behind a few brothers and a ton of sisters, not to mention his parents, Jordana, his girlfriend, and his best friends, Vincent, Dakoda, Cody, and many others. At least I can take comfort in the fact that he's going to Heaven. He was the kind of kid who always prayed before a meal, even in the school cafeteria.
