It's virtually the same as the SETI@home project..... you just download a small program (around 40 MB I believe), install, run it and it uses your processor power to crunch numbers and send the results back to the university. With the SETI thing you crunch radiosignals from outer space to find aliens, with Folding, you calculate millions upon millions of ways proteins can fold, in order to find out wich permutations cause cancer and how to counter it's effects.....A pretty noble cause, if you ask me, so I will most certainly be running this every second of my PS3's downtime....

I have this one and it's pretty good for the price....I've heard sets upwards from 400 bucks that didn't sound as good as this one.....Great value for cash!!
