Whats all the buzz about!

Since 2001 and 2004, Half Life 2 and Counter Strike, broke out into the stores hitting many other wonderful games such as ninja gaiden etc…Oddly, until now, gamers (with respect to all of them) get too excited when they hear about HL2.Unlike all these other gamers, so few (including me) have a hard time accepting HL2 and counter strike as even a reasonable game. From maybe 6 months, I wrote my review about the game and shortly after that I get hurled by messages contradicting my opinion. So in reply I would like to unleash the reason behind all this buzz around those two games.

First of all, to make people aware of this fact, I have played HL1, HL2, Counter Strike, Source and 1.6. Nevertheless, to return to the base point, here is my review:

First of all, and maybe one of the most important factors of a game (in my opinion) is the storyline. The game has a poorly developed storyline with a non-absorbing plot without even one cut scene. In my opinion, cut scenes are important in any game because it is so tiring to keep playing on and on without having a break and watching the story and understanding it rather than just keep shooting and not giving a significance for the game plot.

The main character in the game "Dr.freeman" doesn't even have a voice and does not utter a word throughout the whole game. Secondly, the game play is somehow interesting but absolutely boring, the walking and sprinting are very unrealistic and needs improvement. Moreover, the puzzles in the game makes it even crappier than it is. The weapons are nearly all the same, nothing new or grabbing. Here is one for you, what am I supposed to do completing 4 missions riding a boat or driving a car! Isn't that ridiculous/boring?!

Thirdly, another major drawback is the music, the music was literally non-existent, all throughout the game u play without any background music, even there are some parts of the game that contain music but still those pieces of music were utterly non-appropriate and not even relative to the situation u are in.

On the other hand, there was just one good fact about the game, and it was the graphics. The graphics were great for a 2004 game while the physics of the game is actually ridiculously good. But still this doesn't cover up the mess.

All in all, this game ended up with a 6 out of 10 score, those points i awarded were for the good physics and good graphics for its time.

You can complain and judge me because everybody else on this planet loves this game, but I really cannot stand this and I would never tell anybody this is worth the download.

N.B. I know that the review is aggressive in some perspective but forgive me guys I wrote this just after finishing up the game and I was so frustrated.

End of Review

Recently, on top of all that, has won the greatest game hero contest which is actually ridiculous. Challenging all those great heroes such as Snake from the Metal Gear Saga, Mario and many others. I feel disgusted literally.

Gordon Freeman didn't do anything "heroic" in every sense of the word, he just walks around killing guards and taking orders. Don't you think so? The simplest real hero in a story is a character that at least saves s someone or stands up against something. Whom I really voted for was Snake, because he is a "real" hero. Another and a final point is, there are some of the adorable heroes that were not part of the contest; one of the them is Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher.

To sum up, I want to know why does so much people love these two games so much?

At the end,
