What on earth was lucas arts THINKING?! ugh!
Well in case you don't know what am talking about (and most probably don't :P ) am talking about Star Wars The Force Unleashed.
Knowing that all platforms were going to be different I had to do some research before buying, the versions I can possibily get are PSP, PS2 and PS3 version, now the question is which one to get?
Now I knew PS3 had better graphics and when I tried the demo I was very happy with the controls and combat and coulnd't wait to get my hands on it. but PSP, PS2 had more content, so I thought OK why not get the PSP version since its cheaper and has the most content and according to reviews "Force Unleashed has one of the most impressive graphics on the system", but when I looked at the PSP graphics I just thought ":(How is this the greatest graphics a PSP can offer?!" its terrible!:cry: you cannot POSSIBLY compare this with other PSP games! (Like GoW or CCFFVII), plus I heard there is no camera control (and no the game camer isn't fixed either, the camera actually rotates by itself!) and no lock-on on the PSP or PS2, thats just wierd, plus I didn't like the apprentices animation (I mean shouldn't he be fighting in a reverse saber style? I mean thats what makes him what he is!) and the way he runs just looks stupid and unrealistic, I have definetly seen better looking games (Like Episode 3 revenge of the sith, sure the game was lacking but it HAD BETTER animations!)
In a nut shell this is how they planned it out, give PS3 the better graphics and controls while PSP gets lame graphics and bad controls but add extra content. WTF WERE THEY THINKING?!!:evil: I really DON'T see why they didn't add the extras to the PS3 and Xbox versions, (I mean episode 3 had a dual mode so why couldn't they do it?!) because logically they SHOULD have encouraged extra contents on the next gen in order to boost their sales and popularity, why couldn't they JUST all sit together and USE THEIR HEADS?!:x
Well adding all those facts up I decided on......The PS3 version!
why? well because if there is something I cannot tolerate in ANY game that would be terrible controls! especially terrible camera controls! and I don't want to play through a long game (extra content) with terrile controls! plus since I just got a PS3 (last month) I thought I might just expaned my PS3 library a little, well I just hope (though knowing how lazy they are its most probably not going to happen) they someday add the extra contents on the PS3 as downloadable content (but like I said most probably not going to happen)
If there is anything else I have to say is that I hope Tomb Raider Underworld doesn't end up like this. I really really really really DON'T want to go through this again.
Well that was pretty much a ranting blog so sorry if you felt unconfortable, but what can I say? I had to let it out before I blow up :P
Well to other news I finished DMC4 and MGS4 and reviewed them, so please give either thumbs if you got time :D
btw does anybody know how to add images? every time I try it tells me I don't have attributed title, I give it a title and it still tells I don't have an attributed title.
