GameSpot used to be one o'the greatest and credible websites about PC and Video Games. No more! And I can say it pretty much goes back even before the Gerstmann VS Kane & Linch controversy. Yup exactly way back before that! since Greg Kasavin left it felt like GS missing something, don't get me wrong though, I'm happy he's at EA now, but certainly it wasn't a good thing happened to GS folks and fans. Short after they came up with a new reviewing system which I believe wasn't bad for a change but it felt like somebody pulling my leg whenever I was reading a review! more like someone tries to keep motivate me to buy some games and hell I even did that..

Ok Ok.. I know probably all the teenage population will bashing me cause I'm 'bout to make some controversial statements over Halo series and hell I feel I'm digging my own grave but who cares anyway.. you can't kill what's already DEAD! Correct me if I'm wrong but all us PC Gamers know that no halo game can be even compared to a game old as Blood II which I remember my grandma used to play it alot. And yet I believe so-called Halo franchise has the biggest community on XBox platform. A minor, not very good looking, not much difference in terms of gameplay with previous sequels with not really interesting storyline gets a big 9.5 from gamespot and the same reviewer Geff Gerstmann. A game not even half interesting as Call of Juarez gets 9.5 with nothing really new to introduce.

The point I'm trying to make here is we should over look the situation here. Microsoft invested a lot of budget on Halo franchise which appears to be the same case with Kane & Linch and Eidos. we should look around for more clue to find out why is the reason Microsoft could achieve its goal and not Eidos. Eidos in my opinion is a company that seeks lets say retribution. You see Eidos once was a successful company when they first introduced Lara Croft and Agent 47 even Dues-Ex first game. everything was going fine with them until they realized their franchise aren't as good as they expected anymore, none of the sequels lived up to its name anymore. They don't sell much. While after they planned and invested money on new franchise so to speak, to bring back the company on top. They invested alot of money, they started a campaign of commercials and contests, even they managed to get in some sort of a close partnership with GameSpot and Even PlayBoy which seemed a very perfect plan to make their title famous. Well I for one was thinking the very same thing. c'mon their advertisements were all over GameSpot (read CNet) and uhm almost every websites I was browsing during that period!

GameSpot gave the game to their best critic and he reviewed it as the angle he approached. Geff has claimed "the way I see it, it gets no more than 6". It's obvious that the game couldn't live up to the hypes. But, should they take it on good ol'Geff or their developer studio "Io Interactive"? well if you're a math-boy you can easily calculate and come up with a sensible answer in a manner! Geff Gerstmann is ONE person comparing to A Company, the cost of destroying one man's reputation is much more affordable than executing bunch of worthless developers which once was a successful studio before they became lepers. So yup go home gerstmann see if anyone cares!

Did someone mentioned "see anyone cares"? well I swear I've seen people protesting over this case of controversy everywhere! Even folks at NeoGAF decided to filter everything regarding CNet and Eidos but except this Case. couldn't help sitting back and not making any comments myself either.

You see Game critics are losing their credibility and reputation at the same time they making money and lots of it. You say how? obvious! it's obvious. Same old give a little take a little game, if you know what I mean. Critics aren't credible anymore. That's pathetic the way everything goes in the industry I don't like it. It makes me sick.

And Geff I hope soon you start your own business and make a lot of money and one they buy entire CNet and then destroy it...

well in my previous post I mentioned Internet in my country (Iran) sux, in additional information I will tell you just WHY?!

it's about a month that homeusers are restricted to use only 128kbps of internet speed, and its not just that!! Dr. M. Soleymani, Minister of Information Technology of Iran, mentioned to press that in our research homeusers usually don't need more than 128kbps of speed!!!! WTF?!?! and becuz everything in this country runs by the government and usually you cannot have any objection or compliment about anything they restricted us to only 128kbps!! while I myself had 512kbps which is totally BS for you guys to even think about a same situation! I now have 128kbps, with same old FILTERING system that restricts everyone to explore the internet and same bloody PING which really sux!! as I mentioned before.. and we left we no hope here... I dunno how the start this research but in Tehran where I live and have many friends. we all using DSL or Wireless access at high prices and I know my friends and their friend and their friends using above 256Kbps, and in some polls in my own blog and some websites there was only 1 person out of 100 ppl which is equalls 1% using less than 256kbps. I dunno when these ppl trying to wake up!! I hope sooooon enough...

Thanks to GS, I am able now to play through the Dark Messiah's Multiplayer mod that's now currently on beta test!! one word, AWESOME !! well though to it's RPG Style stuff, Deathmatch mod still rocks, you know its kinda impressive, all people in the game starting with a desired same lvl character class, and they start fire works and do some damages to gain exp and lvl-up and take more skills. capturing and defending bases is kinda similar with BFseries though. the worst point about it, is that there are only servers available in NA so my latency sux alot and I really couldn't help myself out with about 400 latency of mine, well this is why I hate Iran, even Internet access sux, whole internet restricted, becuz they think they know what's really best for us then ourselves. outta politicalsh*t, game looks pretty cool and I believe many of you will be agree with me, the Multiplayer mod is awesomely awesome. well I could get some frags but only as warrior, ranger and mage class certainly wont work with my crapy ping.

at the end I wish you never stock in my country for quite while time cuz you'll start to cry, internet in iran suxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
