Hey guys, I hope you are doing well as we are making our way through the middle of March. :) Things are going well on my end, just studying for my state HOSA competition on Friday and just relaxing a bit while I can. A week ago, I had the flu and now I've come down with a cold. Talk about bad luck! Oh well it could be worse. :P In other news, I'm enjoying Sonic & the Secret Rings. I can see that the game has its flaws, but I'm still happy I picked the title up (for $15.00!). Well here we are with the next entry in my countdown, hope you guys enjoy it!
#4. Day & Age -- The Killers
The third studio album released by the alternative rock band, The Killers came as a successful album that will appeal to many. Since the Killers introduced their sound in 2004, the band has produced a number of hit tracks with deep lyrics and fantastic intstrumentals to boot. Day & Age released with an album that is not only lyrically impressive like it's predecessors, but also stands as an album with an excellent level of instrumentals. This album stands out as one where it showcases the sound that the Killers are recognized for. The lyrical content of the album will make you think, and it's incredibly enjoyable as it varies from ffairytales, spacemen or the intense life of Las Vegas, providing content that isn't found on any other album. Unique as it may sound, that all are put together nicely by brilliant songwriting that makes this a success, while also providing insight to the band members' life experiences. As a fan of the Killers for nearly five years, I came away from this album continually singing melodies and lyrics in my head, with the delivery of quite possibly the best Killers album to date. This album is a definite recommendation to anyone looking for a unique approach on the alternative rock genre.
