I have seen a lot of games I had almost forgotten about, namely GUNSTAR HEROES and STRIDER. I also saw a few people who mentioned remakes that appeared on handhelds... those really dont count. Metroid II was on GB but it wasnt until Super Metroid that everyone got all excited.

Remember that double arcade cabinet called CYBER-BALL 2049 or something like that? Robots playing football I think it was. That would be nice on XBL or whatever is your preferred download network(wouldn't wanna get hate-mail lol).

You know what...? I thought about Gunstar Heroes, but as I was making the list I couldn't remember that one.It was killing me for a couple of hours which one I forgot. THANKS!I loooooove that game like a fat kid loves cake. GH and the original FIFA are what kept my Genesis in heavy rotation. How about one of Squares best games you never hear about...

WHAT OLD SCHOOL GAMES NEED 2 B UPDATED or GIVEN SEQUELS??? Don't give me Gears of War 2 or Killzone. I don't want games that you KNOW are gonna come out, or the ones for recent releases or long since announced. Give me some that soul-wrenching longing for an old classic game or a guilty pleasure game(game you really liked even though it might not have been the best or most successful game). Tell me what platform you played it on originally. Even if the game got a sequel but it SUUUUCKED... then tell me you want a proper sequel. Maybe even what kind of genre you want the sequel as.Let the listing begin. I will kick it off with a line up of long overdues, guilty pleasures, games whose sequels sucked, feel free to let me know if you agree or think I'm nuts. Feel free to also add in any game you think should die and stay dead, because they were overrated back then.

(In no particular order:)

1. River City Ransom (NES, as a 3-D side scrolling beat'em up w/ the same RPG elements)

2. Actraiser (SNES, sequel sucked; as a SIM game/action-adventure game)

3. Kid Icarus (NES, long overdue; as a action rpg or FPS/3rdPS)

4. Super Dodgeball (NES, heard this was coming to DS but I want a next-gen sequel)

5. Run-n-Gun (Arcade, the console game was horrid; make itin that same quasi-1st person camera angle)

6. Streets of Rage II (GEN, best side scrolling beat'em up EVA, including final fight)

7. Bionic Commando (NES, as a action game or 3rd person action shooter)

8. Super Tennis (SNES, best tennis game ever made. play it! Same arcade ****play updated graphics)

9. Double Dragon II* (NES, as a sandbox multi-player/adventure fighter online)

10. Panzer Dragoon Saga (SAT, remake or sequelized update)

* - Trust me on this one.... If you fire up a copy of Dbl Dragon II and playco-op with friendly fire enabled, it is the best multi-player beat'em up out at the time. Myfriends and I used to beat up the villians always looking out for an ambush from the other co-op player. The game had those whirlwindspin kicks, super uppercutsand the deadly hyper knee moves you could do while trying to survive the weapon combat and enviroments. Too much fun.
