[QUOTE="-GeordiLaForge-"][QUOTE="Phoenix534"]

They do it so that people can save while they save up for a hard drive. The Pro and Elite have hard drives, so they don't need internal memory.

Phoenix534

Yeah, which isn't bad at all. Especially since the Live starter pack, which includes the harddrive, a 3 month Live card, and headset are only $89.99 now. That just leaves the need for HD cables, which are very cheap at monoprice.com...

And you don't even need to buy that stuff if 1)You don't plan on keeping every save file saved. 2)Don't plan on getting Live. & 3)Don't have an HDTV.

well i want live hahaa and we have the HDTV lol and i dont need every game save i have hopefully i can get a HDD soon and live gold wasnt there some kinda cheat/hack thing that let you use a flash drive(usb drive) as an HDD?

That is one of my biggest problems with GTA. That and the awful dialogue. There are so many things "copy and pasted" that it's almost painful to play.xxDEUCExx
yea but i like how they use the euphoria technology in that game also

free roaming titles can be very interesting, but when developers of these titles cheat and continually clone buildings, large areas and certain environments already seen earlier in the game by the player, things can get extremely boring/repetative very quickly.. personally prefer smaller areas to discover rich with unique uncloned environments to keep me hooked.

DecadesOfGaming
yea its almost like when they make the npcs in a city say the say thing just recorded in a different voice or when u see the same car 9 times in a row driving down the same street lol itd be better with randomly generated vehicles or maybe a specific amount of those vehicles in a smaller area

"yeah like transformers 2 would have been epic if it was free roaming :O
but free-roaming is also one of the most essential parts I look for in a RPG game"

yea i understand that after playing free roaming games linear games just dont appeal to me as well i like rpgs too like monster hunter :D

I like the idea of sandbox games but most of the ones I play have qualities that hold them back from realizing their potential such as poor variety in missions or a shallow combat system.vashkey
yea like spiderman web of shadows

[QUOTE="xxDEUCExx"][QUOTE="DarthFudgeums"][QUOTE="xxDEUCExx"] Yeah man. I can just see it now. You overtake an new area and your faction builds a small outpost on it. It could have one of those "real-time" styles where the longer you hold an area (over a time period of a few in-game days) you're faction builds a fort that becomes more and more fortified as time passes. Say you capture an enemy post that has been fortified. Well now your forces have claim on that post and resume fortification from it's current state rather than starting from scratch. or vice versa.

haha yessssssssss!!!!!! i wonder if they ever thought bout this before they probably have but it might take a bout of work or something

If they don't want to go that far at least do something similar to Chrome Hounds which had a constantly updating battlefield. You could control one area one night just before you turn the game off but the next when you turn the game on again the friggin Sal Kar faction jerks have taken two or three cities because those guys played the game all night long. Haha! That was a fun game. Chrome Hounds. Back to the Epic Nerd fest....a sweet title would be CoD: Global Conflict. Man I'm going to nerd about this as long as I have fingers, a keyboard, and nothing to do here at work.

hahaaha that would suck tho if the game was like constantly on and ppl could play it non stop n take over everything when u woke up id be pissed lol

[QUOTE="DarthFudgeums"][QUOTE="xxDEUCExx"]Red Faction: Guerilla. Excellent Free-Roam game. Go anywhere you want and destroy ANYTHING you want! ::EDIT:: CoD as a free roam sounds like it might have some strong potential. It might be pretty cool to roam a combat theatre with your friends in a convoy of tanks and HMWWV's and stumble upon an epic battle!xxDEUCExx
i saw red faction but i didnt like how it looked to me but the CoD idea sounds really good tho that would be so much fun your friends n you could fight to control an area n like make it your base or something
