i fixed the fan on my video card but now when i boot up my pc it wont go past the bios screen unless i push TAB to Post. (pushing DEL to get into bios set up does nothing, it wont let me get into the bios setup)..... but then after i push TAB a black screen with a bunch of randomly placed white boxes comes up..

did my gpu completely crap out or is this a much larger systematic issue.

i cant get to the windows log in screen or anything.

can my video card really mess the system up this badly.

im at a loss for words here.

my secondary PC has a ati x800gto in it. the video cards fan isnt working properly.

i cleaned the heck out of it. i used a whole can of compressed air on just the video card but the fan is having a hard time spinning. theres no noticeable dust anywhere on the card. i cleaned it squeaky clean.

but when the fan spins it makes a squeaking noise....which tells me it needs some kind if lubrication....but i dunno how to lubricate the fan?

i turned the pc on with the case open and kept an eye on the video card fan and it seems to spin for a short period then stop....and it wont spin again unless i give it a nudge with my finger. but then it stops again.

i was messing around with battlefield 2 yesterday and it started artifacting so thats how i found out about the fan.

the fan will sin but when it does it squeaks and then stops...and unless i nudge it with my finger it wont move again.

i remember watching g4 tv constantly not even 2 years ago. and for some reason i stopped. but this morning i checked it and noticed there are vince vaughn movies playing on the channel along with episodes of cops and another crappy movie. i checked the tv guide and noticed the only gaming show comes on at 5pm today and thats x-play....so what gives?

what happened to 24/7 gaming shows and reviews and cheat codes and all the shows i remember.

what does gta 4 bring to the table that san andreas doesnt?

is there any thing thats truely new or revolutionary besides the new graphics engine?

i always wanted gta to have more of a godfatherish feel to it but it always ends up feeling like a scarface on crack if you know what i mean.

SA was huge but im getting bored with it.

so can anyone tell me the differences besides the obvious..new engine, new leading character, new storyline etc..

any major gameplay changes?

i havent seen anything above the 5770 in over a month on any website.
