Well it was inevitable, the pending release of GTA could only lead to one result, and that is me being dragged away from my PC gaming spell and into the world of next generation of gaming consoles.

Tomorrow i plan to buy a bundle that includes a 360 premium console and GTA4. It will arrive later then just ordering the game itself, but im not bothered, at least i finally have an inescapable reason to get a 360. Its a great price, at £200 from Play.com, its one hell of a saving, if i were to buy them individual it would cost a good 30-40 pounds more. Also a bonus of leaving it this long means i should have escaped the massive teething problems the 360 has encountered, from disk failings to the dreaded rings of death. Im sure its confirmed that Play.com stocked the latest version of the console with the new chips, hopefully this will increase the life expectancy of the 360.

I also plan to buy a VGA cable as i lack a HDTV, and dont want to have to live with the unclear graphics. Its that or buy a HDTV, but if i have to choose between £20 or £800 right now, i choose £20.

So finally, i will have a 360, and im looking forward to it.

Its seems that me along with the rest of the gaming worlds focus is on this now, lets hope it doesn't disappoint.
